COMMON GROUND: A FACILITATED WORKING SESSION HOSTED BY GOOD COMMONS AND IMS
The Face of Digital Democracy 2026
What does digital democracy look like today? We are trying to help people build strong communities, and you’re invited to a Common Ground working session to help us define what that means.
Come hear from builders, community managers, and enablers from around the world. Then tell us what you think.
TIME + DATE
15.30 to 17.30
Wednesday,
7 October 2026
This working session is part of Digital Democracy Days, organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark in collaboration with Danish civil society.
THE INVITATION
What works and what doesn’t in the communities you build for?
No, seriously — come and tell us. We’re Good Commons, and we’re here to learn.
Facilitated by
Madeline Earp, Rishad Patel, and Magnus Ag — co-founders of Good Commons
“Who’s Good Commons??” Glad you asked: here’s more about us.
From Kabul to Copenhagen, and Dar es Salaam to Amman, people are building the systems their communities actually use. Let’s hear how at this working session we’re calling The Face of Digital Democracy 2026.
We’re asking some real questions: Based on real community needs, who is building what public tech infrastructure? And how do we collectively achieve scale? And how the heck do you manage a community?
We’re hoping you’ll come with answers ❤️

About Good Commons
Public interest infrastructure is fragile, fragmented, and under-resourced.
In many places it is under attack, captured, or was never built in a democratic form in the first place.
Good Commons exists to make public interest infrastructure less lonely, less extractive, and more durable. We do that by building community around it: connecting practice, sharing patterns, and aligning long-term capital with real needs.
Good Commons is a collective run by IMS, JamiiAfrica, and Splice.
About Common Ground
Common Ground is our learning engine, and how Good Commons tests for real value.
The Face of Digital Democracy 2026 is part of a series of gatherings we call Common Ground.
Common Ground gatherings are facilitated working sessions rather than panels. We’re in the room to learn and work together.
